Do you only offer housing for Travel Nurses?

No. MedBed offers housing for any medical professionals working in local hospitals and clinics in Bakersfield, California. We typically house medical students, and traveling nurses. But we have had Occupational and Physical Therapists who are working in local hospital sand clinics.

Do you only offers rooms for rent?

No. MedBed offers rooms, private 1 bedroom 1 bath, and studios.

How long can i stay at a MedBed property?

MedBed offers short or long term rentals in Bakersfield, CA
We have a minimum stay of 28 days. There is no limit for how long you can stay at MedBed properties. Our Medical Students and Medical Resident often rent our units/rooms for a year or even longer, which depends on their clinical rotations or residency length.

Do you offer cleaning services?

• Rooms are cleaned prior to Check-in.
 • Once staying in the room, the cleaning crew will not enter your room.
 • The common areas are cleaned every 4 weeks.

 • Cleaning Crew is not allowed in Guests' rooms. Only shared areas.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Accepted Answer

• Cancellations must occur 2-weeks or more in advance for a full refund.
 • All cancellations will incur the non-refundable 3.5% processing fee.
 • If a cancellation is accepted and completed less than 2-weeks prior to check-in, then one half (1/2) of the room 4-week cost is charged.

• Check-in time is at 4PM on arrival date.
 • Check-out is at 10:00 AM on the date of departure.
 • Room is to be rented to the individual guest that has agreed to these conditions and is only to be used by this individual for the duration of his/her stay.
 • The common areas in the home namely the living room, kitchen, dining area, bathrooms, laundry room, and exterior of the home are shared with other guests that are staying at the home.
 • Rooms are rented on a weekly basis with a 4-week minimum stay.
 • Booking does not occur immediately as it requires approval by MedBed team.
 • Documents that must be uploaded to the site during the booking process:
 • A copy of personal identification.
 • A copy of proof of assignment or medical rotation.
 • Room sharing is not allowed in a home with multiple rooms.
 • Sharing of apartments can be considered and requires MedBed approval. An added $250/four weeks will apply if approved.
 • For cancellations, please review our cancellation policy.
 • MedBed provides necessities such as paper towels/toilet paper/dish soap for your convenience. We will refill these items again when the cleaning crew comes in once a month. This may not be sufficient for the duration of your stay in which case you will need to supplement your own supplies.
 • MedBed will pay for utilities, waste management, and internet.
 • Parking is available on the street.
 • No deposit needed. MedBed will maintain your payment information in case additional charges are necessary.
 • Like our properties, our neighborhoods are important to us. Most of the residents live here full-time. Please try to avoid making any loud noise between 10 pm and 7 am.
 • In case of any disputes with, or complaints about neighbors, please notify our house host as soon as reasonably possible.
 • The MedBed team will access the home for purposes of repair and inspection. The MedBed team will exercise this right of access to the home in a reasonable manner and will attempt to notify guests beforehand when possible.
 • In the unlikely case of a power outage, please call the house host before touching the control panel.
 • Pets are not allowed in our homes.
 • Parties are not allowed in our homes.
 • Our property is a smoke-free zone inside. Guests can smoke in outdoor areas. Again, smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the property.
 • Always report accidental damages or breakages in a timely manner. If there is damage within a particular room, the guest of that room is financially responsible. If damage occurs to the shared areas and no guest claims responsibility, then all guests will share in the financial responsibility of the damages.
 • MedBed does not take responsibility for your personal items. You are encouraged to obtain renters insurance.
 • MedBed attempts to provide a comfortable home and does not take responsibility for your safety. MedBed ensures that only medical professionals rent our rooms, however, there is an inherent risk in living with people you do not know in advance.
 • MedBed has a set of these terms so that expectations are clear. Breach of any of these terms and conditions may result in eviction.
 • In the case of a lost key, a $10 key fee and $20 service fee (to send an individual to open the door) will be charged. The charge will be automatically charged by Stripe reference transaction once a new key is given to the guest.
 • Cleaning fee is applied at the beginning of the 4-week period regardless of the duration of stay and is pro-rated.
 • Payment will be charged every 4 weeks via Stripe Installment Plan. In the event that a payment is withheld on the designated date, a late fee of $150 will be applied. In addition, you will receive an eviction notice within 7 days.
 • Once the booking is complete you will receive an email with your Yale Smart Door Lock code. This code will expire at the end of your stay at 9:30 AM during checkout time.
 • A Ring camera is preset at the front door which is reviewed by the MedBed team.
 • MedBed reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
 • MedBed reserves the right to evict anyone not following the home rules or the terms as laid out in the signed agreement. MedBed will give the guest a seven-day notice. Any legal fees required for eviction will be the responsibility of the guest.
 • If a guest is involved in any illegal activity, MedBed reserves the right to immediately evict the guest. Any legal fees incurred due to this action will be the responsibility of the guest.
